Lauren Tietz
Lauren’s attuned and sensitive approach to healing through Craniosacral Therapy, TRE and other Somatic Therapies is supported by more than twenty years of experience and specialization within the fields of embodiment, mindfulness, trauma-informed therapy, meditation, dance and movement arts.
Working one on one with clients Lauren brings a gentleness and a deep emotionally attuned presence as she assists people in the powerful and vulnerable work of sensing and feeling through our bodies, the place where healing and repair can begin and deepen. This process, as we know, is not often linear.
She loves to support folks who might identify in one of these categories: highly sensitive (she is an HSP!); artistic; neurodivergent; recovering from distress patterns and trauma (be it from family of origin experience or larger cultural and societal harm wanting support, witnessing and liberation). She enjoys working with a diverse group of people each with their own reasons for engaging in this work.
As such, she works with clients who come in with a wide range of reasons including anxiety & depression, injuries & car accident, post-concussion syndrome, acute and chronic illness, chronic pain, dissociation, post-dental surgeries, the desire for a kinder or more caring relationship to themselves and their bodies, the desire for relational, emotional and physical trauma resolution.
Lauren has a deep respect for the inherent intelligence of the body, its natural rhythms and pacing. She partners with each client to support their unique tempo and pace through the course of collaborative treatment. This relationship that develops with her clients is essential, as it establishes a ground for trust and safety, creating a relational field in which the body can feel safe to reorganize, repair and heal naturally. Lauren brings warmth, openness, curiosity and empathetic listening to support this process. We are biologically relational creatures and Lauren delights in partnering with clients on this journey.
If you are thirsty for a more intimate relationship with yourself and your body; are ready to release old tension patterns for more liberation; curious to have an experience of felt sense sensations and feelings; and are looking for support in this endeavor then she would love to support you.
Lauren is a Registered Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist (RCST), Licensed Manual Therapist (LMT), she also holds an MFA in dance/interdisciplinary arts. She is a certified TRE® (tension & trauma release exercise) provider and is also an advanced level certified Pilates teacher.

As a mover and dancer maker she has studied and taught within the field of somatic movement for twenty years. She teaches and facilitates a range of movement classes and workshops (online and in person) in Contemplative Dance /Authentic Movement practice as well as other postmodern modalities. Her practice in somatic therapies coexists with her other creative endeavors as a dance artist & dance maker, qi gong enthusiast, meditator, lover of the desert, amateur singer and filmmaker.
Lauren welcomes LGBTQ individuals. She welcomes women, people of color and people of indigenous lineage. Black Lives Matter to her and she supports the BLM movement. She stands with her fellow human friends in fighting racial and gender apartheid, colonization (of people and earth), ableism, islamophobia, antisemitism, homophobia as well as the other prejudices that cause such unnecessary suffering in our world. In this realm of somatic, embodied work of honoring the body and its healing through trauma resolution, she seeks to collaborate towards a different future, towards building respect, interdependency, friendship, justice and reciprocal intimacy with other humans, beings and the earth.
